Having your ductwork properly inspected is very important to ensure structural and economical performance. Whether you are a homeowner, realtor, or property manager, it’s always good to have peace of mind knowing your HVAC system ductwork is maintaining the comfort level in that home...just right!
Although your home may have passed an inspection, we have found many flaws in the duct system that have by-passed the inspectors eyes. These things could be, asbestos tape on the ductwork, mold, disconnected air ducts, loose or missing hangers and supports or broken volume dampers and anything else we may find, but Mirror Ducts can make it right.
When we do an inspection of your home's ductwork, we start at the base of the system which would be the plenum connected to the furnace. We make sure everything is sealed and properly fitted. We then take a look at the main trunk lines that come off the plenum making sure duct cleats are installed and tight, with duct hangers and tie rods properly holding the trunks into place. We then take a look at the ducts branching off the trunk line, again making sure return pans and supply ducts are poperly supported, connected and sealed efficiently. Then we make sure all floor registers and return grills are the appropriate size and in good condition.
We will perform this inspection wherever your ductwork is located. Ductwork can run through the attic, crawl space, in the walls and sometimes in the slab, making it hard to see for some homeowners, let alone detect an issue or problem. We will cover all locations of the air ducts during our inspection. We are able to perform some repairs and replacements, but if the job is bigger than we can handle we would be happy to refer you to a compitent HVAC contractor that subcontracts with our company.
We utilize a camera before and after duct cleaning to ensure the job was completed properly. But a duct cleaning doesn’t necessarily have to be done for us to come out and scope a duct or vent. You may have lost a valuable or precious item, or concerned that a duct may be damaged or disconnected. We have the ability to scope individual vents and find the source of the problem and possibly find that missing item!
We will not charge for a camera inspection if a duct cleaning is being done by our team. Pricing for us to come out and scope a vent would depend on how many ducts need to be inspected and the length of time it takes us to perform this service, on average ranging between $100 and $200.
Please call us, if you would like to have your home ductwork inspected.
